Cinemarosa, the montly LGBT film series in Queens, features two
documentaries about the military’s anti-gay policy Don’t Ask Don’t
Tell. After the screenings of Tom Murray’s “Tell” and Johnny Symons’
“Ask Not,” the filmmakers will join Denny Meyer from the Americans
Veterans for Equal Rights for a discussion. 3 p.m., Queens Museum of

Spend the evening in conversation with The Arcus Foundation’s Urvashi Vaid, a leading LGBT thinker and author, and Bishop V. Gene Robinson, the first openly gay bishop in the Anglican Church. For the 20th year, people across the globe will mark World AIDS Day, a time of reflection and hope. Numerous events are planned across the city. First up is Framing AIDS 2008,Queens’ annual event that includes films, panel discussions, art exhibits and more. ‘Milk’ Screening With Gus Van Sant
Acclaimed queer director Gus Van Sant’s anticipated biopic on gay activist Harvey Milk opens Nov. 26, but he’ll be honored at the Gotham Independent Film Awards. It’s one of his few East Coast appearances. 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 3, $10, at the Museum of Modern Art, 11 W. 53rd St.
